The bad effect of taking excessive sugar.

It has been  long warning of the damage posed to human health by excessive consumption of sugar. Several studies by different organizations and countries emphasize the 15 worst consequences of taking too much sugar.

1. Deterioration of dental cavities. The responsible for tooth decay are bacteria that feed on simple sugars, called monosaccharides, and produce acid which in turn destroys tooth enamel, explained Carole Palmer, professor of the School of Dental Medicine, University Tufts (USA) newspaper 'The New York Times.

2. Uncontrolled Hunger. US scientists have proved after conducting several studies that fructose (a type of sugar) influences leptin, a hormone that controls hunger. Chronic consumption of fructose causes leptin resistance, which helps a person lose control of hunger, indicates 'Business Insider'.

3. Weight gain. Several studies state that foods rich in sugars is also rich in calories but have little ability to satisfy hunger. In contrast, products that contain little sugars contribute to the body undergo changes. According to them, people who want to lose weight are advised to begin to reduce consumption of foods high in sugar, but scientists also agree that obesity is a multifaceted disease that not only the excessive consumption of sugar contributes to its development.

4. The sugars cause the body requires more insulin, a hormone responsible for converting food into energy. Once increased insulin level, causes the body's resistance to this, so that blood glucose begins to form, the main factor that triggers obesity.

5. Diabetes. The main cause of diabetes factor is the consumption of soft drinks, energy drinks, soft drinks and lemonades. People who consume daily one or two cans of these drinks are at much higher for developing diseases such as type 2 diabetes risks.

6. Obesity. Apart from diabetes, consumption of soft drinks, being rich in sugar, also causes weight gain.

7. Hepatic steatosis or fatty liver. The reason why the liver is overloaded is that it is the only organ responsible for metabolizing fructose; therefore, the more work more fructose will accumulate to the liver. Excess fructose liver leads to hepatic steatosis develop even in people who have never abused alcohol.
8. Pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer, one of the deadliest cancers, can result from over-consumption of sugar.

9. Chronic renal failure. Chronic kidney disease is a progressive and irreversible loss of kidney function. Although the incidence of sugar in the emergence of this disease is a hypothesis, the study by David A. Shoham of Loyola University Chicago (USA), has revealed that the consumption of high-sugar soft drinks could cause albuminuria. Albuminuria is a pathological process manifested by the presence of albumin (a protein) in the urine, which shows malfunction of the kidneys.

10. Hypertension. The daily consumption of 74 grams of sugar (fructose) might be related to the risk of arterial hypertension, according to the study by I. Diana Jalal, of the University of Colorado (USA).

11. The study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (USA), who investigated the reaction of 11,733 people receiving calories from sugar, has revealed the relationship between the consumption of sugar and the risk of cardiovascular disease.

12. Addiction. Studies in rats have shown that eating sugar causes addiction in many animals, but has not yet been ascertained whether this addiction is also developed in humans.

13. Obesity and diabetes caused by over consumption of sugar are the main causes of the development of cognitive dysfunction and Alzheimer's disease. A study in humans has revealed that the high fructose level may be related to the worsening of memory and reducing the activity of the hippocampus.

14. Malnutrition. People who draw 18% of their calories from sugar suffer from poor health haves such as folic acid, calcium, iron and vitamins A and C.

15. Drop. A 2008 study by the US Dr. Hyon K Choi revealed that consumption of soft drinks and fructose can cause gout, a disease caused by the accumulation of uric acid in different parts of the body, especially the joints, soft tissues and kidneys.
